Sunsejoy is a clean skin-recovery brand devoted to hydration, barrier repair, and the grounding rituals that help us return to ourselves. Every formula is intentionally waterless and crafted with concentrated botanical oils, essential oils, and earth-derived ingredients chosen for their restorative benefits.

Founder Story

Sunsejoy began long before it ever became a business.
It grew from a lifelong connection to nature, years of personal formulation, and a deep understanding of how the body heals.

I grew up in northern Minnesota, surrounded by the quiet steadiness of the natural world. Plants were my first teachers. That early connection stayed with me and eventually led me to study Traditional Chinese Medicine, where I learned how the body’s systems work together, how balance is restored, and how natural ingredients support healing on a deeper level.

When I became a mother in 2021 to my daughter, Sage, everything I had studied and believed about wellness became personal. I saw how many “clean” products were still filled with unnecessary or harsh ingredients — especially those marketed for children. That was the moment everything shifted.

I returned to the simplicity and wisdom of plants.
I began formulating slow, intentional blends rooted in both botanical knowledge and the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine — focusing on nourishment, recovery, and supporting the skin’s own ability to heal.

What started in my Austin kitchen became Sunsejoy in 2023. Small-batch, earth-derived, deeply hydrating skincare designed for real skin and real life.

Sunsejoy is more than a brand to me. It is the merging of nature, study, motherhood, and ritual. It is a reminder that skincare can be grounding, elemental, and deeply restorative. My hope is that every product feels like an invitation back to yourself — to pause, breathe, and nourish the skin you live in.
