The Sunsejoy Story
My passion for clean, non-toxic living really started back in college when I was studying Traditional Chinese Medicine. That experience opened my eyes even more to the connection between what we put on and into our bodies and our overall well-being.
During that time, I started crafting my own skincare, experimenting with making food from scratch, and creating household essentials with simple, natural ingredients. Slow living and a deep connection with nature just became a part of who I am — and it still is today.
After having my daughter, Sage, my love for this lifestyle only grew stronger. I started working at Slow North in Austin, Texas — a place whose mission aligns so closely with my own beliefs. It was there that the idea started forming: maybe it was time to share the skincare I had been creating with the wider community.
In the fall of 2023, Sunsejoy was born. I launched our very first product, the Ultra Hydrating Body Butter, and from there the collection naturally grew. Sunsejoy focuses on skin hydration and is always crafted with 100% pure botanical ingredients — no shortcuts, no compromises.
The photo you see of me and my daughter Sage feels like the heart of it all. Sunsejoy is rooted in family, in love, and in living gently with the earth.
